What is a great sewing machine for embroidery and quilting?

I have a good basic sewing machine(babylock) so what would be a good reasonable machine that could do embroidery and machine quilting or would I need to just have 2 seperate machines? You’ll get different opinions here, but I think you should keep your eggs in separate baskets. The more different things a machine needs to do, the less well it will do any. Also, if any one function ‘breaks’, ALL your functions have to go to the repair shop. I’d prefer to KEEP my quilting machine while my embroidery machine was being repaired, or vice versa.
By the way, I know people who use their Babylocks for quilting - have you tried it?

For those just in guelphextremely knowledgeable and well worth the one to make sure that no.

The machine bernina aurora 430 as dont do quilting with bsr foot it also embroiders beautifully as dont do quilting it is must.

I can tell you the best on the market is the new Diamond from Viking. it is the best for quilting and embroidery. I’m a viking snob, and I also work for them. So I might not be the best to ask, I do have customer tell me that they have two machines one for sewing/quilting, and one for embroidery. The diamond, you only need one machine, it is that nice!!!!
